START WITH THE FREE GUIDETHE CAPABILITY PROJECT — FIELD GUIDE 01
STRENGTH TO
MOVE FURTHER.
Strength expands what you can do. Rhythm, direction, balance and coordination shape how you use it.
At UNIT, we connect strength training with skill practice. We explore specific tasks, observe execution and progress with intention.
EXPLORE THE PRACTICE ↘Build a foundation.
Progressive strength, control and load tolerance.
Practise with intention.
A specific demand. An execution you can repeat.
Expand your repertoire.
More directions, stances, catches and transitions.

THE CAPABILITY PROJECT
ONE KETTLEBELL.
MORE POSSIBILITIES.
Five practices to explore different movement demands, with real sequences, technical notes and a sample session.
- Six-frame sequences, step by step.
- What to observe, how to practise and common mistakes.
- A 25–35 minute session and ideas for your week.
Is this guide for me?
For people already comfortable with the swing, clean and basic kettlebell handling. Use a manageable load and a clear space. If you are just starting, work on the basics first.
FIVE PRACTICES.
ONE TOOL.
Keeping the equipment the same lets us pay closer attention to the demands of each task.
Rotational swing
Rotation and foot reorientation.
Single-leg control
Balance with an asymmetrical load.
Clean + front step
Coordinate your step and the catch.
Rotational hand-to-hand clean
Rotation, hand transfer and a stable catch.
Around the body to clean
Connect trajectories and positions.
Progress starts with something you can observe: a quieter catch, fewer corrections or a more consistent trajectory. Improvements are specific to what you practise.
